Nature, spirituality and marine culture are the three main ideas that inspired the choices of excursions offered during the Pontevedra 2019 Multisport World Championships. Four different excursions have been organised by Viajes Deza: two to Santiago on different days, a boat trip to Cíes Islands and a boat trip on the estuary from Combarro.
The maritime excursion along the Pontevedra estuary will depart from Combarro, where visitors will be able to visit its interesting historic center, one of the most important examples of popular seafaring architecture in Galicia and of uncountable tourist visits. On board, the boat will cross through the estuary, visiting the floating wooden platforms where mussels, oysters and scallops are grown. The trip includes a tasting of mussels and wine on board. The price is 38 euros.
Visiting Santiago will be possible for 36 euros per person and consists of a tour of the capital of Galicia and the final destination of the Camino de Santiago, one of the most important spiritual routes in the world. In addition to a bustling university and administrative city, it is the home of one of the most important cathedrals in Christian Europe. The visits will take place on 28th April 28 and 1st May
The Cies Islands trip, which cost 54 euros per person, will depart from Vigo and consists of a whole day (29thApril) exploring the islands of Monteagudo and Faro, which are linked by the beach of Rhodes, and considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the world .
The three trips include tour guides to accompany the participants, and buses will depart from Portonovo, passing through Sanxenxo, Combarro, Poio and Pontevedra. Booking taken via this link:
